Made with ceramic and cement tiles and ceramic dishes then grouted with a dramatic black grout. Mounted on cement board and treated with protective sealant.

As you can see in the video, it is completely level. Even though I use a variety of tiles, with varying thickness, the method I employ (the "indirect method") is such that it dries upside down, ensuring a level surface. The pouring of the cement compensates for the discrepancy of height. I use top grade extra strength cement which gives the piece longevity.
Base is not included but I am happy to recommend online suppliers.
Small irregularities prove 100% handmade work.
