Crafted from natural clay sourced exclusively from Fes, Morocco — a material prized for its purity and durability.
The process begins with clay drying for 20 days, then being broken, cleaned, and soaked for two more days. Artisans hand-shape the tiles, fire them at 2000°C for 8 hours, and hand-paint each with natural mineral pigments. After a glossy finish is applied, the tiles are baked again for strength and shine. Each piece is then precisely cut and assembled with “la resin,” showcasing the intricate artistry of the Nekkach (master tile designers).
