This brooch is a bright and colorful jewel, representative of the sun and light of Italy.
The ceramic lemons are modeled from clay. The entire model is cut into two halves, emptied by removing excess clay, and then closed again.

This delicate operation gives the brooch lightness and perfect portability.

The clay, white terracotta, is fired in a ceramic kiln at 1000°C.

The second firing with colors and glazes takes place at 920° centigrade.

The leaves and flowers are also individually modeled by hand and decorated with a brush with metal oxides for ceramics. The base of the brooch is in gilt brass. The plating is 1 micron of 24-karat gold, hypoallergenic as it excludes the use of nickel in the manufacturing phases.
