Each piece is crafted by hand using Morocco's well-known and centuries-old zellige skill, and as a result, it exudes a magnificent allure that enhances the attractiveness of the space in which it is displayed. Because the zellige can endure temperatures of any kind, there is no need for you to be concerned about the temperature of the water that you put in it. It is encased in an iron frame, which not only gives it a bold finishing touch but also assures that it will last for a long time. When activated, the electric water pumping system found in each fountain causes the water to flow, giving the appearance that you are standing next to a flowing river. The experience is so calming that it can be even helpful for your regular meditating sessions.
Clay, a material unique to Fes, is mined only there, at a location known as Ben.
In Fes, clay is dried for 20 days, broken, cleaned, and soaked for two days. Artisans shape it into vases, jars, and plates by hand, bake at 2000°C for 8 hours, paint with natural colors, coat for shine, and bake again. The products are durable for daily use. Zellige tiles are baked, painted, and designed with intricate patterns by the Nekkach. Assembled with "la resin," these tiles showcase Fes’s craftsmanship inspired by ancient designs.
