Blue sea ceramic lamp

The lamp is a cheerful Totem formed by a turtle, a fish and a seagull that soar upwards divided by spheres decorated in bas-relief and smaller circular elements with black and white vertical stripes. This lamp is entirely handmade. The base is made of painted and antiqued wood. The core is a hollow threaded metal bar that supports the ceramic elements and allows the passage of the electrical cable. The ceramics are hollow and modeled entirely by hand from clay. The bas-relief motifs, butterflies and dragonflies, are applied and decorated one by one by hand on the spheres. During the clay drying phase, the elements are finished and drilled to allow the passage of the electric cable. After the first firing which takes place at 1000° centigrade, the colors and enamels, i.e. metal oxides and crystalline, are applied. The second firing for melting the glass reaches 920° centigrade. The lampshade is in white canvas. The lamp is equipped with an on and off button.

Naturewit by Maria Aurora Manetti

All Naturewit ceramic products are strictly and entirely handmade, by me. My name is Maria Aurora Manetti and I am a Florentine ceramic artisan. The brand was born from my love for nature and for everything that is green, sustainable and possibly self-produced. Ceramic, being basically clay and glass, is the right material for my idea of art. Since I was a child I have always lived in the countryside around Florence, surrounded by olive trees and vineyards. From here I developed my artistic sensitivity and desire to create. Observing nature, I understood that there is a spirit behind everything and it is to this spirit that my art is dedicated.
